CO₂BioClean Develops Innovative Non-Woven Fabric from CO₂-Based Biopolymers
Within the context of the CO2TEXTILE project, we are pleased to announce a major milestone in our development activities: the successful realization of a non-woven fabric produced using CO₂-derived biopolymers. This achievement marks a significant step forward in our mission to transform industrial CO₂ emissions into sustainable materials.
The non-woven fabric, engineered through eco-friendly processing techniques, demonstrates excellent softness, breathability, and mechanical performance—ideal for applications in packaging, hygiene, biodegradable textiles, and smart textiles. It represents a breakthrough in replacing petroleum-based fibers with circular, carbon-negative alternatives.
By integrating captured CO₂ into the production of high-value textile materials, we reaffirm our commitment to innovation in the field of climate-positive manufacturing.
More details about the material properties and potential applications will be shared soon as we move toward pilot-scale validation and partnerships with industrial stakeholders.
